I Know the Load Is Heavy, Child |

I know the load is heavy, child; 'Too much your plaintive cry, Bowed down you stumble 'neith the weight, Each step - a long drawn sigh. Within your load so many things, That I have not decreed, You add each task as if you were, A 'superhuman' breed!! My precious child, I would not give, Loads that would crush and blight, Leave off the ones that come from you, And find my burden light. |
